John Gyllin, Vice President of Resource and Economic Director of the Foundation for Seminole State College. An executive with over 30 years of experience in higher education administration, is the Vice President of Resource and Economic Development and Executive Director of the Foundation for Seminole State College. Gyllin, who previously served in similar capacities in Georgia, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, has been back in his home state of Florida working with the Foundation for Seminole State, a non-profit corporation that oversees the development and stewardship of external resources on behalf of the College, since 2011. Gyllin holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He also has a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration (Ed.D.) from the University of Arkansas. Gyllin is active in the community as a graduate of Leadership Florida, Leadership Orlando, and Leadership Seminole. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Sanford, serves on several boards including Florida Citrus Sports, Seminole County Regional Chamber, Sanford Main Street, Greater Orlando Sports Commission, and was a trustee and former commissioner with the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). His goal is to connect people with their passions and improve lives through philanthropy.

Michael Demblewski, Ph.D. ·Cybersecurity Expert, Educator, Researcher, Innovator in Aviation and IoT Security Advancing Privacy, Compliance, and Next-Gen Technology Solutions” Extensive experience in systems development and platform integration. My research, teaching, and duties include innovation in cybersecurity, AI in cybersecurity, Ethical considerations in cybersecurity research, Cyber Law, and System Forensics for securing devices and privacy in a wireless world. I am committed to advancing cybersecurity and privacy standards for next-generation technologies such as aircraft systems, transportation systems, smart cities, medical devices, wearables, connected vehicles, next-generation networks, and artificial intelligence impacts in cybersecurity. My expertise extends to legal expert witness and consultant in compliance, policy, regulations, and enforcement for protecting critical infrastructure, personal security, and privacy.

Tomas J. Lares Founder and president of United Abolitionists, Inc., brings over 34 years of human services leadership and strategic advocacy to the NAIBA Advisory Board. As founder and president of United Abolitionists, Inc., he demonstrates proven expertise in building coalitions across sectors, developing policy initiatives, and convening diverse stakeholders toward shared outcomes. Throughout his career, Lares has founded and led multiple initiatives that required cross-organizational collaboration, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence policy at local, state, and national levels. His work establishing the Central Florida Human Trafficking Task Force, launching statewide efforts through Florida legislation, and co-founding MIT's Task Force on Computational Law reflects his capacity to drive complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. His experience in nonprofit leadership, program development, and strategic stakeholder engagement positions him to provide valuable perspective on how emerging technologies and business innovation address societal challenges. Lares brings a unique viewpoint on building trust-based partnerships, engaging diverse constituencies, and translating organizational mission into measurable impact. Recognized with multiple awards including the Liberty Bell Award and Frederick Douglass Award, and serving as the first Anti-Human Trafficking Chair for Rotary District 6980, Lares demonstrates the leadership caliber and commitment to systemic change that strengthens NAIBA's advisory capacity. His background in coalition building, policy advocacy, and cross-sector collaboration adds depth to NAIBA's approach to advancing AI solutions across Florida's economy.

Mayor Scott J. Brook Mayor of the City of Coral Springs and renowned family law attorney, was sworn in for two additional terms as Mayor on November 30, 2022, and November 19, 2024. Brook served as a city commissioner starting in 2002, as Mayor from 2006 to 2010, and was elected Mayor again in March 2019, following the sudden passing of our dear friend, Mayor Skip Campbell, in October 2018. While serving as an elected official for Coral Springs, Brook consistently demonstrates his commitment to bridging the gap between citizens and local government, further promoting transparency and a united community. During his first term as Mayor, the City of Coral Springs became the first city in the USA to receive the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Brook serves on numerous Boards and Committees in Coral Springs and beyond. He is the founder of the Coral Springs Community-Involved Government Committee and serves as a Commission Liaison for the Community Ambassador Program, Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Directors, Economic Development Advisory Committee, Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance Board of Directors, and Parent Education Group. He is also a co-founder of Premier Networking Alliance and Project Leadership, the Mental Wellness Networking Alliance. He was also appointed to Vice-Chair of the National League of Cities (NLC) Council on Youth, Education, and Families. In addition, he is a Past President of the Florida League of Mayors. Mayor Brook is the winner of a Telly Award and an Emmy Award recipient for a powerful video where he shares a personal heartfelt message about suicide awareness and prevention. Mayor Brook remains a tireless advocate for mental health awareness and continually works to improve the mental wellbeing of the community. In 1985, he graduated from Tulane University, where he remained to obtain an MBA on a fellowship. Brook graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 1992. As a member of the Florida Bar, he has practiced successfully before the Florida Supreme Court, the First District Court of Appeal, and many other Courts throughout Florida. A former partner at Brodzki Jacobs & Brook law firm, Brook founded the firm Scott J. Brook, P.A., in March 2020. His practice centers on solutions to divorce, child issues, modification, domestic violence, and estate planning. As a partner in the law firm, he advocates for families and parents by leading community conversations that encourage Coral Springs and other residents throughout the Tri-County area, business owners, and visitors to work together like a family.
